Includes records of Hanna's business dealings, particularly his cotton plantation on the Brazos River, and documents relating to land transactions, slaves, and sharecroppers, including Chinese immigrants; together with records of Hanna's involvement with the extension of the Houston and Texas Central Railroad prior to the Civil War, and business records associated with Hanna's son-in-law, Eber S. Peters, of Calvert, Tex.
